Context. Diana Vishneva Festival and MR Group's Symphony 34 launch Context Symphony, a program for contemporary dance choreographers aimed at finding and creating new large-scale work. The performance will be presented at the anniversary festival Context-2022.

Choreography, like architecture, embodies the ideas and trends of the time in a plastic form. The creators of the residential complex Symphony 34 take the aesthetics of the perception of musical art as a basis and translate it into an architectural ensemble. The joint initiative Context Symphony symbolizes the unity of views on the development of current culture and enables a new choreographic work to become part of its space.

terms of participation

We invite choreographers to send applications for the creation of a performance lasting from 45 minutes.

The number of performers (dancers) in the declared project must be at least four and not more than ten. The age, professional education and choreographic style of the applicants do not influence the choice of the finalists of the competition.

The applications of Context Symphony contestants will be considered by the expert council of the festival. The shortlisted finalist will be able to rehearse and work on the creative component of the project within a month.

The result of the first stage will be ten-minute sketches of future performances and their technical video recording. The artistic director of the festival, prima ballerina Diana Vishneva and the expert council will select the winner from among the finalists.
