The Tenth Context. Diana Vishneva Festival expands its geography and educational programs in contemporary dance for choreographers, dancers and audience. The overall goal of all educational initiatives is to immerse participants in the global artistic environment, create new connections and interaction between amateurs and professionals.
The main part of the program this year is practical classes for dancers and amateurs in the format of contemporary dance workshops. It will be held not only in Moscow and Saint Petersburg, but also in Yekaterinburg, Omsk, Chelyabinsk and Novosibirsk ― key cities in the history of Russian modern and contemporary dance. A feature of the program will be the involvement of the most relevant choreographers, authors and artists working with large forms in contemporary ballet, modern and contemporary dance and performance as masters.
In addition, for the first time the Festival is launching a special course "School for Audience" as part of the Context.10 program in Moscow and Saint Petersburg, where participants are expected to attend performances, lectures, and workshops. And also in Moscow there will be a public program: the audience will be able to listen to lectures from Dina Veryutina, Olga Bochikhina and Alexei Maslyaev.
