Международный фестиваль современной хореографии Context. Diana Vishneva и Посольство Израиля в России представят программу онлайн-классов «Российские хореографы в израильском танцевальном контексте».

VIII Международный фестиваль современной хореографии Context. Diana Vishneva переносит летнюю часть программы, которая была запланирована на 22 июня – 2 июля в Москве и Санкт-Петербурге. Непростая эпидемиологическая ситуация в мире и ограничительные меры стран с ней связанные, к сожалению, не оставляют возможности для проведения показов фестиваля этим летом. При этом заявленная ранее осенняя часть фестиваля на сегодняшний день остается без изменений.

We are happy to announce the acceptance of applications for the Young Choreographers Competition 2020 of the VIII Festival Context. Diana Vishneva! Applications are accepted until May 31, 2020.

Festival Context. Diana Vishneva announces 2020 program and opens the ticket sales.

This year the festival program will be held at the leading venues in Moscow and St. Petersburg in 2 stages — in June and October and will include 5 performances from Canada, Israel, Italy and Russia.

 

On February 11, 2020, at 12:00 at the TASS press centre (Moscow, Tverskoy Boulevard, 2, 2nd floor) a press conference on the announcement of the programme of the VIII International Festival of Contemporary Choreography “Context. Diana Vishneva” will be held. 

On October 9, the Gogol Center hosted the Young Choreographers Finale, which concluded the Young Choreographers Competition. The jury and the audience selected the best choreographers and dancers.

Context. Diana Vishneva announces the partners of the performance «Equal Elevations» — the Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts and the Fabergé Museum — as well ad the film programme in collaboration with Beat Films,.

October 8-13, parallel programme events will be held in Moscow and Saint Petersburg: discussions, choreography workshops, and the laboratoris of lighting design and photo documentation of movement.

Context. Diana Vishneva opens the sale of tickets to the events of the festival 2019: the young choreographers competition finale and the performance Grand Finale by the Hofesh Shechter company (London).

The expert council of the Young Choreographers Competition led by Diana Vishneva has chosen the finalists.

On August 22, the unique Context. Diana Vishneva Festival program, which was created especially for this evening, will be presented on the round stage in the courtyard of the Bottle House building at New Holland Island. 

On July 14, the festival team accepted the latest applications. By the end of August, finalists will be determined. They will present their works on October 9-10 in Moscow and October, 13 in St. Petersburg.

Acceptance of applications for the Young Choreographers Сompetition has been extended until July 14.

The Spanish company La Veronal will present the work Equal Elevations. The dance will go beyond the usual space, as the performance will be shown in unexpected locations in Moscow and St. Petersburg.

Hofesh Schechter company will present Grand Finale in Moscow and Saint-Petersburg in December. It is a unique opportunity to see the performance before it leaves the company’s repertoire.

We’ve started selling tickets for the evening of young choreographers Context Lab.

During the festival's Context gala-evening at New Holland, a total of seven dance premiers will be performed.
